A. J. Smith

A. J. Smith is a printmaker and silverpoint artist born in Jonestown, Mississippi. He earned his BFA in Painting/Printmaking from the Kansas City Art Institute and an MFA in Painting and Printmaking from Queens College, City University of New York. His art can be found in permanent collections, including those of the United States Library of Congress in Washington, DC; Arkansas Arts Center Permanent Collection and Mosaic Templars Cultural Center both located in Little Rock, the Columbia Museum in South Carolina, and the Philadelphia Museum of Art in Pennsylvania. Smith is Professor of Art at the University of Arkansas in Little Rock.
