Michael Platt

Michael B. Platt was a photographer, printmaker, and scholar born in Washington, DC. He earned a BFA from the Columbus College of Art and Design, OH; an MFA from Howard University, Washington, DC; and pursued postgraduate studies at George Washington University, Washington, DC. Platt’s work can be found in the permanent collections of Yale University Art Gallery, New Haven, CT, and the Library of Congress, Washington, DC. 

Platt lived and built his studio and digital printmaking workshop in Washington, DC, where he shared his knowledge, equipment, and passion for art making using hand-painted models superimposed with collages and images from his photographs.
