Born in Kingston, Jamaica, painter, photographer, and multimedia artist Berrisford Boothe received a BA from Lafayette College, Easton, PA, and an MFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art, Baltimore.
Boothe has exhibited at the African American Museum in Philadelphia; Albright-Knox Art Gallery, Buffalo, NY; June Kelly Gallery, New York City; Sande Webster Gallery. Philadelphia; Aljira Center for Contemporary Art, Newark, NJ; The Allentown Art Museum, PA; and Universidad de Costa Rica, San Jose.
He is a professor in the Department of Art, Architecture, and Design at Lehigh University, Bethlehem, PA, and is Principal Curator of the Petrucci Family Foundation Collection of African-American Art, Asbury, NJ.
