Ed Clark

New Orleans-born Abstract Expressionist painter Ed Clark studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and L’Académie de la Grande Chaumière, Paris, France.

His work is in the collections of the Art Institute of Chicago; Detroit Institute of Arts; Studio Museum in Harlem, Metropolitan Museum of Art, and Museum of Modern Art, New York City; and the California African American Museum, Los Angeles, among other institutions.

Clark lived and worked in Detroit after spending the majority of his career in New York City and Paris.
