Frank Galuszka

Frank Galuszka was born in Newark, NJ. He received his BFA and MFA from Tyler School of Art and Architecture at Temple University, Philadelphia, and also studied at Syracuse University, NY. In 1969, he received a Fulbright to study in Romania. While living in Philadelphia, Galuszka served on the Philadelphia Art Commission and was chair of the Public Art Council. In 1994, he was an artist-in-residence at Brandywine Workshop and Archives.

He has had exhibitions in institutions around the world including the Galleries at Moore College of Art & Design, Philadelphia; Santa Cruz Museum of Art and History, CA; Monterey Museum of Art, CA; Roswell Museum & Art Center, NM; Revolution Gallery, Detroit, MI; The Delaware Contemporary, Newark; New England College Institute of Art and Design, Manchester, NH; Ca' Pesaro International Gallery of Modern Art, Venice, Italy; The Drawing Center, New York City; Galleria Primo, Rome, Italy; and Philadelphia Museum of Art. His work is in the collections of La Salle University, Aramark, and Woodmere Art Museum, Philadelphia; DuPont, Wilmington, DE; and Comitetul de Stat Pentru Cultură şi Artă, Bucharest, Romania.

Galuszka is a professor in the Department of Visual Arts at The University of California, Santa Cruz.
