Rieko Seto

Rieko Seto was born in Hiroshima, Japan. She earned a BFA from Musashino Art University, Tokyo, and an MFA from the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. She has participated in several artist-residency programs in the United States.

Seto has exhibited her work at institutions in the United States, Turkey, Finland, and Japan, including Hiroshima City Museum, Asahi Gallery, and Gallery New Kuwamoto, Hiroshima; Philadelphia Art Alliance; and Banpaku Memorial Park, Osaka, Japan. In 2004 she won a Jeans Factory Art Award Grand Prix, Japan. In 2010, she exhibited in the International Biennial of Drawing Pilsen, Czech Republic.
