Susan Altman

Susan Altman was born in New York City. She earned a BA from the State University of New York, Buffalo, and an MFA from Tyler School of Art and Architecture at Temple University, Philadelphia. She is an associate professor and assistant chairperson in the Visual, Performing, and Media Arts Department at Middlesex County College, Edison, NJ.

Altman has an active studio practice in drawing and printmaking. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally at institutions such as the Tokyo University of the Arts, Japan; Bookspace, Chicago; The Print Center, Philadelphia; Albright-Knox Art Gallery, Buffalo; and the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks. Her work can be found in numerous public and private collections including The Art Institute of Chicago, The Brooklyn Museum, and the Library of Congress.
