Susan Kaprov

Susan Kaprov was born in the Bronx, New York City. She earned a BA from City College of New York and attended Dartmouth College, Hanover, NH. She has completed major public art commissions in the United States and abroad.

Kaprov’s work is represented in the permanent collections of museums worldwide including the Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, Rotterdam, Netherlands; Metropolitan Museum of Art, Museum of Modern Art, and Whitney Museum of American Art, New York City; Yale University Art Gallery, New Haven, CT; and Corcoran Gallery of Art (now Corcoran School of the Arts & Design), Washington, DC. Articles and reviews of her work have appeared in the New York Times, ARTnews, Newsday, and Art in America.

Kaprov is known for her multidisciplinary practice, which encompasses photography, painting, drawing, video animation, hand-colored pigment prints, and fired enamel on glass. She lives and works in New York City.
