From the Artist
I have been working on a series of six paintings of large format (6' x 9') and from this work emerged my print.
The process was direct on the first Mylar. I started drawing automatically and found my image as I drew. I could say that most, if not all, of my work emerges in this manner. To contrive something and try to put it on paper or canvas does not work for me. I respond to the marks and then find the image and meaning.
It may seem peculiar, but it is all inside of me and my lived experience. The format issues, of course, I treat through years of trial and error and personal aesthetic.
