From the Artist
Space/time, evolution, intuition, cybernetics, and art as communication are concepts that continue to mature in my work. My earlier works expressed an evolutionary process with a series of prints in which one print gave rise to the next. This use of a series to express evolution and reunification has led me to drawing on Mylar, developing handmade negatives and exploring experimental photographic techniques.
My current works express more change and transformation in a single print while incorporating the use pf transparent, translucent, and opaque separations or overlays. Composing within this manner, my ideas change radically as the addition of various colors, lines, and shapes begin to establish unexpected relationships and provoke unforeseen questions. The work becomes a document recording events occurring between myself, the materials, and the moment.
