The exhibition John Dowell: Three Moments in Time is a three-part chronicle of the artist's major themes of the last twenty-five years, Visual Poems, Music Compositions, and the recent, Heart Series. Three Moments in Time presents Dowell's journey through poetry, music, and African religious experiences as he searches for imagery to express his spiritual and structural views of life and the creative process. Dowell is an acclaimed innovator who is adept in printmaking, painting, ceramics, and one who has used his musical talents to pioneer the integration of art and jazz.
