I just returned from a trip to the Caribbean and the gay bright spirit and color inspired the shape and final range of colors used in this print. The flower clothing colors, sound of the music, general movement of the people as they walk, speech rhythms are all felt in this print. The blues, magenta, orange, green, with cultural mask speak to the uniqueness of the many islands of the Caribbean. My trip was filled with jazz and that is also represented in this print.
