Marvin Brown is an abstract and minimalist artist. Brown creates compositions by using a limited color palette and geometric shapes. In the print Standing, the viewer sees the partial outline of a triangle and two rectangles, which are defined by an expressive grey wash. There are three other minor forms in accompaniment, two small triangles, one black and one blue, and a curved line that extends off the edge of the print.
