Gustavo Garcia has had a large impact at a relatively young age. He is a 2012 graduate of Tyler School of Art’s BFA program with a minor in education. He has served since then as printer, education coordinator and now associate director for printing and technology. Garcia’s Mexican-American heritage, language skills and background have enriched and helped guide our residencies, exhibitions, education outreach and planning efforts—all of which are driven by diversity and the need for inclusion. In this regard, Garcia has expanded his role to include exhibit curating and coordinating the ArtistsNConversation public programming. He is a key staff person for our outreach to local schools and communities. Garcia serves as a technical consultant to local curators and historians and is the founder of Colibri Workshop, a Philadelphia-based media production company.
